This Might Save Men of War II From Disaster

Community feedback for Men of War II just hasn’t been all that fantastic, with many a player comparing it negatively to Gates of Hell: Ostfront. Now, the team working on the title has announced that the game won’t see the light of the day until 2024.

Maxim Kamesky, Producer of the game explains: “We loved working with our dedicated community of fans during multiple Playtests and we gathered immense amounts of data and feedback. In fact, we received so many great suggestions we decided to implement, that the original schedule did not allow us to iron out all the bugs and issues in time for the September release. We feel that our fans deserve to receive a game in a completely polished and bug-free state and ask them for just a little more patience to allow us to deliver such a high-quality product”.

Hopefully, the team will use this time to polish some rough edges and improve the game to the point where it won’t be just playing second fiddle to Call to Arms. Currently, the game is feature complete and includes 3 narrative and 2 historical campaigns, Conquest and Raid dynamic campaigns. It also has 15 PvP and 8 PvE multiplayer modes with more than 20 maps.

The community reaction was rather mixed at the forums, with some congratulating the move, and others comparing it negatively to its most ferocious opponent.

No other release date was disclosed.
