Steel Division II announced!

Eugen System and Paradox are going to give a brother to World War II RTS darling Steel Division, originally named Steel Division II.

Dropping the hedgerow hell of normandy, the trailer features the open wilderness of the eastern front country side. Set during Operation Bagration in the summer of 1944, “Steel Division 2 pushes the limits of the WW2 Tactical experience and brings new 1:1 scale dynamic strategic campaigns”.

Clunky and lumbering soviet war machines charge forward followed by infantry in the trailer below!

While the game seems to maintain its basis of gameplay it will be interesting to see how Eugen adapts the tactical differences between both battlefields.

In my Steel Division review I wrote last year that: “given Paradox approach to DLC i’m pretty sure it won’t be long until we see a Steel Division: Stalingrad, Steel Division: Ardennes, Steel Division: El Alamein, Steel Division: Battle of France, Steel Division: pretty much any world war 2 battle you can imagine. The groundwork for future DLC is clearly laid out with Normandy ’44.”

I told you so!

Hopefully we will get more news and gameplay coming soon!
