Close Combat Games On Steam

More of a public service announcement than anything else: the entire Close Combat Collection of wargames is now available for purchase on Steam. So, if you want to go back nearly 3 decades and revisit some of your childhood classics, they’re available for cheapies, with each entry going for $5.99 – Close CombatClose Combat 2: A Bridge Too FarClose Combat 3: The Russian FrontClose Combat 4: The Battle of the BulgeClose Combat 5: Invasion: Normandy – Utah Beach to Cherbourg.

I would go for the remakes, just because they work great and have very few wrinkles. Also, they look way better. The drawback is that they go for 40 dollars, so maybe wait for a sale on these.

Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic Out In June

The complex and tough city-builder Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic is getting a 1.0 release. The is comprised of a sophisticated web of economic and industrial systems that allows players to plan their economies in minute detail, representing the ultimate communist city-building sandbox.

After a successful journey in Early Access that lasted 5 years, Workers & Resources: soviet Republic is coming out on the 20th of June, 2024.

Tank Squad

After a disappointing and premature showcase during a Steam Fest, Tank Squad is increasingly getting better and more robust.

Men of War 2 Going Forward

The Men of War 2 team is showing that they mean to improve nearly every aspect of their recently released title by laying bare their roadmap.

Here are a couple of highlights: Expect a feature to easily switch from Competitive and Realism (didn’t even know this was a thing, what?); Offline mode for single-player; Difficulty missions will be overhauled; Different game speed for singleplayer; Improve pathfinding; Improved Infantry Models and textures; New damage systems.

It’s great to see that Men of War 2 is tackling every issue I pointed out in my review of it. Hopefully, Men of War 2 will improve and become a flagship single-player experience for World War 2 game aficionados.
